For the 2023 Art Exhibit, Art for Climate reached out to local art teachers to ask if their students would like to create art about climate change to be displayed at a climate change awareness art exhibit on Earth Day. After applying for and earning a grant from the Awesome Foundation and reaching out to more than 100 local art teachers, on Earth Day I displayed about 500 pieces of climate change aware art from local K-12 students which attracted more than 900 visits to the smART Box at the Main Library branch of the Saint Joseph Public Library, where the exhibit was held for one month.
